Mike Tyson's 4-Year-Old Daughter Dies
Exodus was on life support after a treadmill accident on Monday.

A day after she was badly injured in a treadmill accident, the 4-year-old daughter of Mike Tyson has died.

Multiple sources are reporting that Exodus Tyson was pronounced dead at 11:45 a.m. local time on Tuesday following a brief period on life support. The daughter of the former world boxing champion was injured on Monday at the family's home in Phoenix.

Tyson's daughter was discovered by her 7-year-old brother Monday with a cable from the machine wrapped around her neck. After the girl's mother took her off the cable and called authorities, she was transported to a local hospital. The 42-year-old Tyson traveled from Las Vegas to Phoenix on Monday to be with his daughter.

"We are grateful for the tremendous outpouring of love and prayers from all over the world," Tyson said in a statement released to the media. "There are no words to describe the tragic loss of our beloved Exodus. We ask you now to please respect our need at this very difficult time for privacy to grieve and try to help each other heal."

Although the youngest world heavyweight champion in history retired from professional boxing in 2005, Tyson has been quite visible lately. Currently in theaters is "Tyson," a probing documentary that aims to explore the troubled sports legend. He also has a high-profile cameo in the upcoming comedy "The Hangover," due in theaters next month.

While speaking with MTV News recently about the films, Tyson opened up about his relationship with his children.

"I look forward to having some grandkids one day," he said. "And I'm really trying to work into re-creating my relationship, rebuilding my relationship with my children. [In the past I was so wrapped up in being] this Mike Tyson, 'Iron Mike,' heavyweight champion of the world or whatever I was, that I neglected my children and people I was in love with at one time. And I'm bearing the brunt of it right now. At this stage in my life, I'm starting to feel the pain and the effects from it, and I would like to rekindle that relationship."

A heartfelt Tyson also said that even if the allure of fame came on as strong as it once did, his love for Exodus had changed his priorities. "I would give all that [fame] up if it caused me losing what I have now: That little condo with my girlfriend and my daughter and having a relationship with the rest of my kids."

Jay is happy to be 'a completely independent artist' after buying out his contract.

Now maybe we can get that Blueprint 3 album. Jay-Z has officially parted ways with his home for more than a decade, Def Jam. On Thursday morning (May 21), Hits Daily Double reported in its Rumor Mill section that Hov — who owed Def Jam one last album — bought himself out of his contract for $5 million.

On Thursday afternoon, Jay contacted RapRadar.com and confirmed his departure.

"I can honestly say, working with Doug Morris and L.A. Reid has been a unique and fulfilling experience, and I respect them immensely," Hov told the Web site. "I've been in the family for almost my entire career. Doug and I spoke directly and had one of the most unique 'negotiations' ever."

Jay said that negotiation included a coin toss. "Doug won the toss, but we both won in the end," Jay said. "I thank him for allowing me to be a completely independent artist. Not every artist can say they own or are given the opportunity to own all of their music."

Jay started his own record company, Roc Nation, and has been working on the Blueprint 3 with Kanye West since 2008.

In February, Jay joked that he was too free in making his latest opus.

"If I don't have any time constraints, I'll mess around, I'll never get it done," he said. "I'll be Axl Rose out here! It'll be 12 years later, and we'll be talking about Chinese Democracy. I really like the [time constraints]. But whatever happens, [the album] may turn out better, 'cause it'll be done when it's right."

Man Fatally Shot At Entrance To Beverly Center

A man was fatally shot at the entrance to the Beverly Center mall this afternoon, and police were searching for two suspects. [Updated at 5:15 p.m.: Police arrest one "person of interest" in connection with the shooting but were looking for a second suspect].

The shooting occurred just after 3 p.m. at the La Cienega Boulevard entrance to the popular Westside shopping center. All entrances and exits to the popular Westside shopping mall were sealed off as police swarmed the scene.

LAPD officials said that officers were sent to the mall on a report of a group fight, possibly involving a knife. LAPD Sgt. Ronnie Crump said two suspects ran in the direction of Beverly Hills.

At a Chipotle restaurant in the mall, several people were eating when the shots rang out.

“The customers were yelling ‘close the store, close the store, because somebody is shooting,’ ” said Elsa Hernandez, general manager of the restaurant.

An employee who was behind the restaurant, near the mall’s valet parking service, saw the tail end of the dispute, Hernandez said. “He saw a lady … shooting a handgun,” Hernandez said.

The center is normally quite peaceful, said Hernandez, who’s worked at the restaurant for six years. “This is the first time this has happened here,” she said.

The music industry really is all about who you know and a lil bit of luck, im not a big believer in luck but, there are so many talented people in this world that will be heard on a small scale or never heard at all. You ever heard anybody say that there's probably cats that could have smoked Jordan but there lives just took different paths, whether they didn't have the discipline for it, drive, or maybe life just got in the way of their dreams, which is what usually happens to most of these talented entertainers out here. The reason i'm even talking about this, is because sometimes i wonder if im suppose to be doing this but on the flip side i'm not gonna be stopping anytime soon either, i have a constant anxiety everyday about this music and the choices and paths i made, sometimes i think i should just go back to school, but then, am i really going to be happy? (i hated school with a passion) I do get a satisfaction out of what i do, it can just be hard at times and the fear of being an "unsung hero" kinda scares the shit outta me....and i'm not talking about the fame, fuck the fame! See basically what i want to come from all this hard work is just a successful career and to be able to live and support a family off of what i know how to do best, music! That's the idea and goal i'm looking to reach and continue to strive for it everyday, so you can miss me with that "unsung hero" shit cause i aint having it!......SO BUY SOME BEATS OR OUR MUSIC, AND TELL SOME FRIENDS!!!! FRONTSTREETRECORDS.COM!!!! LOL

I'm definitely proud that my team was able to be apart of this mixtape, we all work hard over here at Frontstreet, and to see the most respected website in street culture take notice of our talents and give us the #2 slot on the tape goes to show that they not only like what we do, but love it! For those of us that have constructed mixtapes, cd's or whatever, you know that you want to catch the consumer right out the gate, so that slot says a lot about the song "Streetwear", Oseeola definitely did his thing on the record which was produced by The Skouts, which is otherwise known as Braulio, Dux Jones, and muah (Thirty;).....but this is where the problem lies, nobody knows The Skouts produced this great record and to know that this tape will reach thousands of people we definitely felt a lil short changed and the funny thing is it shows production for all the other songs on the tape.....this is just me venting im not gonna go any further on it, on another note if you get a chance check the record out and hopefully you keep enjoying what we love to do....peace

Last week my homey Breed passed away, His death hit me pretty hard especially being at the club with him the weekend before and talking to him the day before he passed, and then trying to get a hold of him that whole day of his passing, only to find out he was gone.......... We were in talks about his new album that was going to be released on his original label Ichiban, so he seemed in real good spirits, we already had two tracks done for his new album which was "Gotta Get Mine pt.2" and his possible single "Ride Wit Me"........Breed was my first taste of the industry, he was the one that gave me the confidence to know that what i'm producing is running with any producer out here major or independent. Breed always kept a smile on his face, there's not a time where i saw him anything less than happy, his talents were far beyond his success, i learned so much from Breed, sharing the times we did working on music and seeing his genius in the lab, I'll take those experiences with me everywhere and whatever studio i'm working in, a lil bit of Breed will live through me, he will definitely be missed, See ya when I get there homey..........
